Mevagissey is a delightful and unspoilt fishing village with white-washed stone houses leading to the two harbours, the Inner and Outer. You can pick your B&B accommodation and take in the busy day of a working fishing port – watch the catch come in, take a boat trip round the bay or go crabbing. There is a good choice of both bed and breakfasts and guesthouses so you can be sure of a comfortable stay. There is a fascinating local Museum, an excellent range of historic inns, pubs, cafes and restaurants offering fantastic local seafood, some wonderful local beaches and a great selection of shops along the winding streets down to the harbour. There’s also an Aquarium, fantastic scenic walks along the Coastal Path, the Lost Gardens of Heligan with their own pineapple beds, a model railway and The Eden Project a short drive away.
