Felixstowe is an attractive seaside resort with plenty of excellent bed and breakfast and guesthouse accommodation, much of it with fine sea views. You can walk the long promenade with its beautiful gardens, relax on the 4 miles of sand and shingle beach, watch the ships and ferries come and go out of the port or enjoy the many indoor amusements and children’s activities along the seafront such as mini golf, train rides and a boating lake. There is also a very good range of restaurants and cafes, many offering fresh locally caught fish, a theatre, a cinema and a good choice of shops.
