The picturesque market town of Bakewell crosses the River Wye and lies right in the heart of the beautiful Peak District National Park so is an ideal base for walking, cycling, climbing and touring the area. Home to the famous Bakewell pudding it also offers a great selection of bed and breakfast and guesthouse accommodation. The pretty town centre offers a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants as well as a regular market selling local produce.
