East and West Looe are delightful twin towns, on opposite sides of a river and with a bridge with 7 arches running between them. There’s an excellent choice of bed and breakfast and guesthouse accommodation in the maze of narrow streets and plenty to fill your days. Watch the days’ catch being auctioned if you can get out of your B&B early, or experience fishing trips, speed boat trips, sailing and sea-life spotting as well as tasting the fantastic locally caught fish in the many fine restaurants and cafes. There’s a lovely beach with plenty of rock pools to explore, lots of interesting and unique shops, galleries and tea rooms offering cream teas, the Old Guildhall Museum and the South East Cornwall Discovery Centre. You can also take a walk on Bodmin Moor, take a scenic drive along the coast or hire a boat and go up the East or West Looe Rivers spotting birds and wildlife.
