Bed and Breakfast Description

 

19th century country residence with superb oak-panelling throughout. The present family owners have transformed netherwood into a luxury hotel and spa. Our fully air-conditioned elevated restaurant offers splendid views of the estuary. The cuisine is excellent and varied to suit all tastes and diets. our setting is unrivalled - set in a natural amphitheatre with carefully tended gardens within 17 acres of woodland - a peaceful antidote to modern living. Please note netherwood has a non-smoking policy throughout.

We do not accept american express or diners. Please be aware check-in is from 1.00 pm and check-out is 11.00 am..

From the m6 motorway take exit no 36 onto the a591. Take the next left turn off signed a590 to barrow-in-furness. Progress along this road until you pass a bp petrol station on your right and then you approach a roundabout. Take the first turning signed for grange-over-sands on the b5277 (follow brown signs for holker hall). At lindale at the mini roundabout take the first left again to grange-over-sands and on approaching grange-over-sands after the 30 mile an hour sign over the brow of the hill the netherwood is on the right before the train station..
