Bed and Breakfast Description

The House is a comfortable, friendly hotel which has been extensively renovated and is maintained to a very high standard. Being a family run hotel every effort is made to ensure that your stay is as enjoyable as possible.

The House is licensed and has a small but excellent wine list, beers and spirits to offer guests. The most relaxing place to enjoy a drink and admire the best views in Rye is on the back lawn.

Although Rye is reputedly one of the most haunted towns in the country, our BnB - despite its age and creaky floorboards - can not lay claim to a ghost.

B&B Location
From the M25, exit at junction 5 onto the A21 heading south toward Hastings.
At Flimwell turn left at the traffic lights onto the A268 toward Hawkhurst.
After passing the steam railway, just north of Northiam, you need to turn left following the signs for Rye.

In Rye:
Following the signs to the town centre
This will bring you past Rye railway station (keep in the left lane), into Cinque Port Street and straight to Tower Street.
At the end of Tower Street turn right under the Landgate Arch (built 1329) and drive up East Cliff.
East Cliff becomes the High Street where the shops begin.
Take the first left into East Street
Market Street is at the top of East Street and the hotel looks directly down this street.

Parking:
Car parking is on the street outside the hotel between 5pm and 10am the next day.
If street parking is not available directions will be given to a nearby car park, about 200 meters away, which costs £1 per 24hours.
