Description
A grand avenue of lime trees leads to this former farmhouse, built in the 1840's as part of the Althorp Estate. this lovely BnB is a family home which enjoys magnificent views over ridge and furrow, woods and hills. The BnB provides leisure and business visitors with a special place. Exploration of the area, participation in a local event or the cut and thrust of business all require a need for reflection at the end of the day. It occupies a unique situation, its peaceful atmosphere provides a place to unwind - take tea before the log fire - take drinks in the garden - dinner in the deep blue dining room - a gentle walk before turning-in to bed.

COUNTRY HOUSES AND GARDENS Within easy motoring distance of The Grange are: Althorp House (3 miles motoring / 2 miles walk) Cottesbrooke Hall and Gardens (10 miles) Holdenby House Gardens and Falconry Centre (6 miles) Lamport Hall and Gardens (8 miles) Stanford Hall (20 miles) Sulgrave Manor (20 miles) Coton Manor Garden (8 miles) COUNTRY PARKS Irchester Country Park Salcey Forest Sywell Country Park Brixworth Country Park with Pitsford Water, providing walks, fly fishing, sailing tuition and a visitor centre WALKS Nobottle Grange is situated on the Midshires Way and close to the Macmillan Way. Walkers can be collected, fortified and dropped off, from whence they came, complete with packed lunch the following day. We can direct the less ambitious walker on a number of walks through the Northamptonshire countryside. ANTIQUE SHOPS AND RURAL SHOPPING OUTLETS The village of Weedon, which is on the Grand Union Canal, is home to a large number of antique shops. Heart of the Shires, The Old Dairy Farm Craft Centre and Castle Ashby are all Rural shopping outlets and within half an hours drive of Nobottle Grange. Ladies classic clothing, antiques, delicatessen, art, children's wear and interior design are all available together with a restaurant in each for morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea. There is also an opportunity to shop at Nobottle China which sells Staffordshire blue and white giftware, kitchen and tableware made by Spode and Burgess Dorling and Leigh.

At J16 of the M1, follow signs for Northampton
At the first roundabout turn left (signposted New Duston and Althorp)
Go up the hill
At the next roundabout take the first exit to Nobottle
After 2m pass through Nobottle
The entrance to the drive is on the far side of the property, on the left.
From The East
If you are coming along the A45 past Wellingborough, follow the A45 towards Northampton
Shortly after a big fly-over you will need to leave the A45
Follow the signs for the Ring Road and Sixfields
Follow the Ring Road all the way round the outside of Northampton to Sixfields (the football stadium is on your right)
Follow the signs for M1 (North)
After Northampton, near the M1, you will come to a roundabout with a garage on the far side
Turn right (signposted New Duston and Althorp)
Go up the hill
At the next roundabout take the first exit to us.
After 2m pass through the village
The drive is on the far side of the village, on the left.
