If you want affordable but luxurious bed and breakfast or holiday accommodation near to central London, this is the place to be. It is only minutes away from Notting Hill Gate underground station and many bus routes. Portobello market is just down the road as are Kensington Palace – home to many royals - Kensington Gardens and Holland Park. The whole area abounds with trees, gardens and fashionable restaurants and bars.
You are never far from something of interest or somewhere wonderful to eat or drink. Then just go home to relax amidst paintings, exotic textiles and wonderful objects from far flung parts. If weather permits you can sit out in the lush but tiny palm filled courtyard or soak up the afternoon sun on the roof terrace. The house is the home of Hilary, a lawyer turned artist who travels, and Maryo, a property developer, who travel widely themselves and also sell Indian textiles.
You can choose from two wonderfully different rooms: one, the en-suite has a queen sized bed and a huge bathroom, the other, a larger room, sharing the family bathroom, has a super king size bed. Both rooms are equipped with televisions, small chillers for water and provided with a selection of toiletries, biscuits, fruit and beverages as well as bathrobes hair driers and irons. |
