Beautifully situated in the heart of Suffolk, The Hall is ideally located for visiting this delightful and historic area which includes the mediæval village of Lavenham and Constable country.

Description

Susan and Patrick invite you to stay at this 15th century grade II listed building, where the imposing Georgian facade hides a heavily beamed Tudor house.

Susan's breakfasts are particularly noteworthy - she attempts to source her ingredients locally and whenever possible organically. This includes free range eggs, locally made sausages, home made bread and preserves.

The dining room complete with tall bay windows, huge fireplace and wonderful sweeping staircase creates an elegant, yet informal setting for enjoying a traditional English breakfast.

On summer mornings breakfast can be served on the terrace in the walled garden.

Local Attractions
Suffolk is an unspoilt county which was the inspiration of artists Thomas Gainsborough and John Constable. It is famed for its villages and towns of timber framed buildings and magnificent churches, such as Lavenham, Long Melford and Bury St Edmunds.

There is the heritage coast with its attractive towns such as Southwold. The world famous horse racing town of Newmarket, home of the National Stud. Not forgetting the well known Aldeburgh Festival. All within easy reach of Haughley which is in the centre of Suffolk.
 

Location
Branch off the main A14 at Bury St Edmunds, turning south onto the A134 with signs to Sudbury.

In Sudbury, look for a left turn onto the B1115 with signs to Great Waldingfield.

Go through Great Waldingfield and fork right at the junction to Little Waldingfield.

In Little Waldingfield, we are just past the Swan Pub, on the left.
