This is a working farm of 600 acres and is the home of Ian and Annette Fergie–Woods and Caroline Beeney.

Bed and Breakfast Description

The Farm nestles in its own secluded valley yet is just 5 miles south of the historic Cathedral city of Salisbury and an easy distance from Stonehenge. It has existed at least as far back as the 11th century and is described in Domesday Book.

On the farm they grow mostly wheat and barley crops. They have some cattle and a few sheep. And they keep ten horses here. Also there are three dogs in the family.

Around the house is an outstandingly beautiful two acre garden. This has been judged to be the best bed and breakfast garden in the Salisbury district. If you are a garden lover, you will not want to miss it.

Local Attractions
The Farm is central for many outside activities. Here, we have our own coarse fishing lakes; there are lovely walks around the farm, and we have stabling if you want to bring your horse. There are golf courses nearby.

Why not make our Farm your home for a day or two while you visit the many popular local attractions?

Stonehenge is approximately half an hour's drive from the village.

We can help you arrange private access to the centre of the stones, with your own experienced guide.

Salisbury cathedral is one of the ancient holy places of England. It has been a house of prayer and a place of pilgrimage for 750 years.

There are so many interesting and beautiful places to visit around Salisbury - you are sure to wish you had stayed here longer.
 

B&B Location
From the M4 take the A34 south and the A303/A343 to Salisbury. Take the A36 towards Southampton and turn right at the start of the dual carriageway (there is no sign). Then turn right at the sign to Downton and continue for two miles to the Farm.

From the M3, join the M27 and then take the A36 at Junction 2, towards Salisbury. Fork left to Whaddon and Alderbury. After one mile turn left into Lights Lane. Go past the church, then left again then one mile further on is Witherington Farm.
