The house stands at the centre of its own garden amid rolling Cornish country. It is very much a family home and Anthony and Alison's three children use it as base in university holidays.

The lane to the house leads between fields to the front gate where the drive up to the house continues through the garden to an area beside the house with ample parking for guests' cars.

The garden here, which is occasionally open to the public, is Alison's first love. She has restored it meticulously over the last twenty years. It contains many rare and interesting plants and shrubs, mature trees and typically Cornish camellias and rhododendrons.
