If you are thinking of a holiday, a weekend break or just a few days away come and relax in our beautiful, secluded 17th century listed farmhouse, peacefully nestling in the heart of Dorset's Thomas Hardy Country.

Bed and Breakfast Description

The farmhouse is part of the Historic Came Estate, which included the 12th Century church used by Thomas Hardy and local poet William Barnes. The farmhouse has one half one hundred years older than the other half and is full of of little curios that add to to the feel of authenticity.

As you would expect, the farmhouse simply oozes character and charm and for anyone familiar with the novels of Thomas Hardy, it is easy to imagine a bygone time when the building was a lot younger.

The estate extends south to the Ridgeway with spectacular views over Weymouth Bay and the Isle of Portland and the beautiful chalk downs of South Dorset.

Located just 2 miles from the historic market town of Dorchester, known by the Romans as Durnovaria, which has an excellent museum, ancient monuments such as Maiden Castle and a variety of National Trust Houses to visit.
