From a week or so before Easter until the end of October, we offer bed and breakfast in two spacious and attractive rooms on the first floor of the main house. The Tarka Room has a main bedroom with kingsize double bed plus two single beds in an adjoining room whereas the Exmoor Room has a kingsize double and one single bed. Each room has en-suite facilities and a separate bathroom is also available.
Bed and Breakfast guests have full use of all the facilities at Muddlebridge. These include an indoor swimming-pool;sauna cabin;over two acres of safe, enclosed gardens;extensive children's outdoor play area;pets' corner;two games' rooms offering table-tennis, table-football and pool;small library;mini soccer-pitch.
Set back from the old Barnstaple to Bideford Road, in between the villages of Bickington and Fremington, Muddlebridge is accessed by good, fast roads in just 45 minutes from junction 27 of the M5.
The excellent location provides easy access to superb sandy beaches, pretty villages,open moorland(in particular Exmmor),craft centres, gardens, historical sites, museums, sports facilities and a wide range of tourist attractions catering for all ages.
Less than half a mile away are local shops and pubs.Within a five minute drive are a selection of supermarkets and take-aways, whilst the town centre shops, cinemas and theatre of Barnstaple are only slightly further. A frequent bus service stops at the foot of the drive.
The Tarka Trail, incorporating the South West Coastal Path and the Westcountry Way cycle route, passes 800 yards away at the restored Fremington Quay (with heritage centre and cafe) on the estuary of the tidal River Taw. |
