Bed and Breakfast Description

 

***Comfortable split level (upside down) centrally heated house , set in tranquil surroundings, on a hillside, half a mile from Monmouth town centre. Casita Alta offers an hospitable, friendly and peaceful atmosphere for that unique getaway. 

An excellent breakfast menu to choose from is included in the costs. All diets are catered for.  
There is some provision for walking disabled people; a stair lift is installed. The accommodation consists of :

Two bedrooms:- 1 double/twin ensuite bedroom.  
1 double bedroom with private bathroom.

 

Chepstow Attractions

 
Good centre for touring both sides of the English and Welsh borders. Castles galore! Lots of historical, artistic, creative and interesting things to do and see. Wild life in the Forest of Dean, the Wye Valley, Brecon Beacons white water canoeing on the river Wye, local golf course, walking tours in the Black Mountains, Offa's Dyke, cycling centre locally. Never a dull moment!
 

B&B Location
 
By car, cycle or foot Fom Bristol M4, M48 Chepstow A466, and Gloucester A40, rom the A40 follow the signs to Monmouth Town Centre. ** At the traffic lights follow A466 signposted Hereford - then first Left, signposted Osbaston A humped road - pass the two schools on your left Then turn Right into Chaucer Way, steep hill, then second Right into Toynbee Close. We are three quarters of the way up the close on the right. The houses on this side look like bungalows but are set into the hill side and are two storeys high!

From Hereford, A48 to A466 follow road into Monmouth,turn right at 2nd road after the Pub(which you pass on your left) signposted Osbaston into Highfield Road , 2nd left (concealed road) Prospect Road opening into Chaucer Way, 2nd turning into Toynbee Close.

From Cardiff -M4 to Newport to A499 signposted to Midlands, Monmouth - then follow A40 until traffic lights at Monmouth - turn left and follow A466 to Hereford etc. see above **

If you arrive by bus or coach, let me know and I will arrange to pick you and your luggage up from Monmouth bus station.
