Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Gogarth Hall farm is situated within the Snowdonia National Park in a peaceful part of Mid Wales, with stunning views overlooking the river Dyfi and the Cambrian mountains. The farm walk entices guests to walk up to Pengareg and on to Bearded Lake which figures prominently in Welsh Folklore.

From your bedroom watch the train go by on the Cambrian Railway and the Steam Train in the Summer. Ron Deilwen and family welcome you to their farm and home to enjoy a true welsh welcome and a relaxing holiday. Arrive here as strangers but leave as friends.

We also offer a double bedroom which has a super king size bed with en-suite, television video and DVD with a beverage tray. Both bedrooms are tastefully decorated.

A traditional Welsh breakfast is served in the dining room. Guests are welcome to meet other guests and enjoy each other's company. You even get to learn a few words of Welsh. Prices range from £25-£30 per person per night.

 

Aberdovey Attractions

 
In Machynlleth there is the Owain Glyndwr Museum where he held a parliament here in 1404.

A Museum of Modern Art while the Centre for Alternative Technology is only a few miles away. At Corris which is about 5 miles there is the King Arthur’s Labyrinth and the Corris Craft Centre and The narrow gauge Corris Railway.

Madian Quad bike and laser shooting centre is also near Machynlleth. We are only 4 miles away from the beautiful Aberdovey beach and 9 miles from the Talyllyn Railway at Tywyn.

M54 to Shrewsbury Then A458 to Welshpool then A458 Mallwyd then take the 1st exit onto the A470 to Cemmaes Road at cemmaes road take the 2nd exit onto the a489 Machynlleth. From Machynlleth Take a right by the town clock then take a left over the bridge A493 towards Aberdovey for about 5 miles through the Village of Pennal and Cwrt and we are on the right hand side. Sign posted GOGARTH Hall Farm B&B.
