Bed and Breakfast Description |
| |
|
You are always very welcome at Windsor Lodge. Our superior facility offers comfortable, top-quality rooms, beautifully decorated with elegant linens from Ireland’s finest suppliers. Our dining room is bright, newly renovated and expanded and offers a full range of breakfast options daily, including a traditional Irish breakfast.
Purpose-built as a guesthouse in 1996, Windsor Lodge offers top-quality accommodations located in the centre of the Boyne Valley’s tourism area and close to the outstanding medical and shopping facilities of Drogheda, a regional hub on the northeast Ireland seacoast.
Proprietor Olive Murphy takes special pride in ensuring that every guest is welcomed and made to feel very much at home. Over the years, Windsor Lodge has built up a very loyal base of repeat guests, all of whom remark on the consistent quality, comfort and attention to detail provided by Olive and her guest services team. |

FROM THE SOUTH (DUBLIN AND DUBLIN AIRPORT)
From the M1 motorway at the M50/Dublin Airport, enter the motorway in the direction of Belfast (north). Continue north on the motorway for approximately 25-30 minutes. You will see a toll barrier and will need €1.90 for the toll. Just beyond the toll, you will cross over the River Boyne on the new Boyne Cable Bridge. As you do, move to the left lane and slow down, as you will be taking the next left exit (Exit #10, Drogheda North). You will go through three round-abouts, following the signs at each for Drogheda. Just beyond the third round-about, you will enter Drogheda. You’ll come to a traffic light on the outside of the town. Proceed slowly through that light and you will turn right into our driveway, about 60 metres beyond the light. Look for our large yellow and black sign “Windsor Lodge.” You will enter a large forecourt with three houses fronting it (all are ours). Park in front of the first house and come in to see us.
