Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Welcome to Sladen bed & breakfast. Although much of the house is in need of a little updating it retains many original features and is full of character. It is a lively house, made so by its energetic and enthusiastic owners and their three young children together with Pip the English Springer Spaniel.You are guaranteed a warm welcome and attentive service. There is a good selection of local pubs and restaurants in the village a few minutes walk away.

We offer a large room with double aspect windows and very high ceilings. It has a zip and link bed so that guests may choose two 3ft single beds or to have them made up as a 6ft super-king size bed with respective linen. There are fitted wardrobes and bedside tables. There is an en-suite with bath and shower over, washbasin, WC and bidet. The other side of the en-suite is a connecting door to a separate twin bedded room. This is ideal for families who do not mind sharing a bathroom in between bedrooms.

There is a further large double room with a 4ft 6in bed. There is space for a spare bed for twin occupancy. The bathroom is for the exclusive use of guests but is along the corridor. There is a sitting room for guests use – it is a large room with open fire on the ground floor.

 

Hathersage Attractions

 
Hathersage is without doubt one of the most popular and friendly villages in the Peak District. It is located in the Hope Valley surrounded by gently rolling hills and dramatic gritstone edges. Visitors are offered a huge range of amenities from eating out and shopping to swimming and walking from the door.
 

B&B Location
 
Sladen is on Jaggers Lane, off the A6187 (Castleton Road) in the village of Hathersage. As you are traveling from the centre of the village towards Castleton, Jaggers Lane forks right up the hill 100 metres past the George Hotel. Sladen is on the left hand side approximately 500metres up Jaggers Lane. Look out for Park Edge on your right and Sladen driveway is just past this on the left beside the public footpath. It has large stone gateposts.
