Originally a small bungalow, Periwinkle Cottage was completely rebuilt as a large cottage character property in around 2000. The house nestles amongst approx 1 acre of well tended gardens and offers a rural setting for our guests, whether stopping briefly before passing through the area or settling in for a longer stay. All our guests are offered both a continental style and full english breakfast (from local produce where possible) each morning. For evening meals we can recommend several local restaurants or pubs, both within walking distance and some a short drive. Periwinkle Cottage offers ample off-road parking and guests are invited to make full use of the gardens and guest sitting room throughout their stay.
We have three rooms available to guests. Our small double is on the ground floor providing easy access for the mobility impaired guest.
The room has tea and coffee making facilities, TV/DVD, double bed and ample storage space for luggage / personal belongings. A private en-suite bathroom is attached, with large shower, washbasin, lavatory. Towels and basic toiletries are provided.
Our double room / twin is on the first floor at the front of the house with views overlooking the garden and farmland beyond. This spacious room provides tea/coffee making facilities, TV/DVD player, dressing table and ample space for luggage / personal belongings. A private en-suite bathroom is attached, equipped with lavatory, washbasin and large shower. Towels and basic toiletries are provided.
Our large family room is located on the first floor at the rear of the house with spectacular views of the surrounding rural countryside. Designed to comfortably accomodate 4 people it is equipped with tea and coffee making facilities, TV/DVD player, sofa and plentiful storage space for luggage/personal belongings. A private en-suite bathroom is connected, with a large shower, lavatory, bidet, washbasin and supply of towels and basic toiletries. |
