We have fishing opportunities nearby. Garden and/or patio area for guests We have on-site parking. We have a residents lounge. There are scenic walks in the surrounding area. Smoking is not permitted in the establishment.

Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Rockells Farm is situated in the heart of the Essex countryside. A working arable farm for more than 30 years it provides a place of peace and tranquilty to rest and relax and unwind from the stresses of life. Rockells Farm is home to a 3 acre lake that is heavily stocked with Carp,Tench and lots more. This mature lake is stream fed and is surrounded by weeping willows and lots of trees.

Rockells Farm offers a relaxing and peaceful environment for all our guests & visitors. We offer Self Contained accommodation and Bed & Breakfast. Single, Twin and Family rooms are available all year round.

The Family room in the Georgian Farm House on the ground floor, this is suitable for wheelchair access (Cat 2). There is a lounge with an open fire and colour Television for guest use. All rooms have tea & coffee making facilities. The Single and twin room are on the second floor. The room with a fantastic view over the lake is a Single Room.

 

Saffron Walden Attractions

 
First class fishing in the heart of the countyside. This peaceful, idealic location for one of the best course fisheries in the country. Many of our Angling guests have bagged up! Reporting bags of fish to 450lbs. Wow!! That's a lot of fish, or is it? The average fish for most of our visitors is around 3lb. But you can check some of our photos and see for youself what sort of day you can have at Rockells Farm. The lake is situated at the bottom of the large garden. It was excavated approximately 35 years ago. It is now surrounded by, mature weeping willows,firs and rushes. There are 27 swims on the lake, but only 24 are fishable. This is due to the water only being 5 inches deep. Platforms around the lake provide excellent coarse fishing facilities. Disabled Anglers are very welcome!

At junction 10, take the A505 exit to Saffron Walden/Duxford/A1307/Haverhill 0.2 mi
At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A505 heading to Royston 2.2 mi
Turn left toward Hertford Ln 2.8 mi
Turn left at Hertford Ln 0.8 mi
Hertford Ln turns slightly left and becomes Heydon Ln 0.2 mi
Slight right at Essex Hill 1.2 mi
Sharp right at B1039 0.2 mi
Take the 1st left onto Cogmore 0.4 mi
Slight left at Knole Ln 0.2 mi
Turn right 0.2 mi
Turn left
Destination will be on the right 0.3 mi
