Bed and Breakfast Description

 

The Old Farmhouse sits 350 feet above sea level and looks out over Cardigan Bay to the Llyn Peninsular in 1½ acres of garden and originally dates from around 1600. It offers guests the traditional atmosphere of an old farmhouse but with the benefit of every modern convenience.

Your hosts Tim and Sally will ensure you have a warm welcome and provide excellent service but with an unobtrusive and informal style.

For those wishing to take advantage of the tranquil nature of The Old Farmhouse and adjacent stream, two garden rooms offer the visitor magnificent views over Cardigan Bay and the Llyn Peninsular and of course the impressive sunsets. Both rooms have ensuite bathrooms (with shower over the bath), settees and chairs, tea/coffee making facilities and fridge. Flat screen TV's with DVD players.

 

Dyffryn Ardudwy Attractions

 
We are in an ideal centre for touring Snowdonia, walking or just total relaxation by our large outdoor swimming pool and hot spa whilst enjoying the breathtaking views of Snowdonia and the coast.

This area of Secret Snowdonia offers visitors a wide range of interests including over 5 miles of one of Britain's few Blue Flag beaches. There are lots of castles and historic sites and visitor attractions including slate mines, little trains of Wales, Portmeirion and numerous and varied walks. There are quiet lanes for cyclists and stunning scenery, all of which are on the doorstep or within a short drive.

Follow the A496 coast road from Barmouth. Go through the village of Dyffryn Ardudwy passing three garages, two on the right, one on the left. You will then see the sign (on the left hand side of the road) for The Old Farmhouse. Approx. half mile from this point.
