Set in its own grounds with ample free parking and located at the foothills of the Black Mountains, it is surrounded by beautiful countryside and breathtaking views.With it's relaxing atmosphere and comfortable rooms, it lends itself perfectly for those wishing to visit the area to take part in outdoor activities or for those who just want to "get away from it all" and maybe visit the famous town of books Hay on Wye, with its antiques & book shops and it's literary festival held in May, or visit the quaint market town Brecon or join in with its Jazz festival in August or walk the Brecon Beacons, then there is the Royal Welsh Show in July.
Within the main building we have a mixture of en-suite rooms available, deluxe, Doubles, twins, Shared & family rooms. The annexe has twin room, small bunked rooms and a shared/family room. For those looking for basic accommodation then the bunk Rooms are ideal. All rooms within the lodge are en-suite with tea/coffee making making facilities and T.V.
The Lodge has its own lounge bar, providing local and international beers and wines. A cosy restaurant with a delicious A la-carte menu serving seasonal local produce, which all makes for a great dinning experience. You are welcome to join us for as long or as short as you like, we cater for individuals, parties, families and corporate groups, offering everything from budget bunk-barn accommodation through to deluxe, four poster bed rooms. |

We are surrounded by some of the most spectacular and diverse landscapes in Europe, The Brecon Bacons and home to Pen-y-Fan standing at 886mts with its distinctive red table top summit - the highest Old Red Sandstone summit in Britain.
The Brecon Beacons National Park located in mid-Wales in the UKspans 519 square miles (1,344 square kilometres). and comprises of 4 ranges The Black Mountains on the far East, Pen-y-fan in the middle, Fforest Fawr on the Western side(now recognised as a Geopark) home of the UK’s most spectacular waterfalls, caves and wooded gorges.and the far West is the Black Mountain. The national park is scattered with prehistoric monuments, Roman remains, and medieval castles.
For those looking for a little more excitement then there is plenty on offer such as rock climbing, canoeing, kayaking, high level ropes course (similar to go ape) raft building, clay shooting, archery, mountain biking, gorge walking, white water rafting, white water kayaking, team building, conferences, pony trekking, caving etc. |

Directions from the M4: Exit at Junction 24, travel North on the A449 to Raglan, Take the A40 West to Abergavenny, continue on the A40 through Crickhowell village, turn right after the Cider Mill Pub, 2 miles outside Crickhowell, onto the A479 to Talgarth. At the roundabout take the second exit, then take the second turning on the right sign posted Three Cocks. Continue along A4078 until you come to a T junction. "Black Mountain Activities centre is opposite the junction" turn right in the direction of Hereford on the A438. (once in Glasbury the A438 turns left over the river bridge) continue straight on onto the B4350 signed posted Hay on Wye. as you leave the village of Glasbury there is a large lay-by on the right with a sandwich board, turn right into the lay-by then then take the turning right to the Lodge. From Hereford: Take the A438, towards Brecon. at Glasbury turn left on the B4350 signed posted Hay on Wye. as you leave the village of Glasbury there is a large lay-by on the right with a sandwich board, turn right into the lay-by then then take the turning right to the Lodge.
