Bed and Breakfast Description |
| |
|
At St Johns luxury is focused on the bed and breakfast. Our breakfasts are very special and cooked to order by Chef / Proprietor Johann. Johann prides himself on his home made sausages and bacon but if you don’t fancy that you will find lots of other delicious suggestions.
Our beds are all hand made with vi spring mattresses (Hand made life changing!). They all have quality Egyptian cotton linen and down and feather quilts and pillows.
We have four bedrooms in the Stables and are planning another five in the main house. The Stables is an annexe at the rear of the main house. Breakfast is served in the dining room of historic St Johns House which is across the cobbled granite court yard from the Stables.
Each of our bedrooms has a fridge, coffee and tea making facilities. Our porcelanosa tiled en suite bathrooms all have power showers. Each room has its own telephone and free internet access together with flat screen television, free view and DVD.
All our rooms have vi spring mattresses (hand made life changing!) dressed with a down and feather quilt and pillows* and Egyptian cotton.
We are situated right in the centre of Lichfield less than 100 metres from the railway and bus station (comfortable to walk but impossible to hear). We will meet you at the station to carry your bags and will help you in every way to be green. If you want to come by bike we will store it for you in the dry.
All food, where practicable, is sourced locally and organically grown or bred with as low air miles as possible.
The renovation of St Johns used and continues to use traditional and natural materials such as lime, horse hair, reclaimed glass and wood, blood, sweat and a few tears!
Lichfield is in the top five environmental councils in the country and we have helped them achieve this. We separate out all the rubbish our guests produce sorting and recycling all glass, plastic, paper and compostable items.
A visit to St Johns will be traditionally luxurious |
