Bed and Breakfast Description

 

J’Vern is the ideal place to be based to explore one of Britain’s most scenic areas and many of the well-known sights. We have a Double Front Room/ or twin(on request) with bathroom (Shower over Bath, Bidet, Wash Basin & WC), Safe & Colour TV. Also a Double Front Room with views towards Harescombe Hills.(Shower Room, Colour TV & WC). There is a Double back Room with view over the Cotswold escarpment & towards Malvern Hills.(En-suite Shower Room with Bidet) and Colour TV. Finally a Single Bedroom with views over Robinswood Hill & the Cotswold escarpment. This room has sole use of main bathroom.

Rooms 3 & 4 can be combined to make a Family Unit by closing the door to the corridor. This is ideal too for an elderly person with sole use of the main bathroom. All rooms have tea & coffee making facilities. Hair Dryer & Ironing Facilities are available on request.

 

Gloucester Attractions

 
Walk established paths such as the Cotswold Way & the Gloucestershire Way which are close by, together with the Forest of Dean and the beautiful Wye Valley. Visit historic sites such as Gloucester Cathedral and the Docks & Chedworth Roman Villa. Try Bird Watching at the Wildlife & Wetlands Centre at Slimbridge.

Sporting Activities include The Cheltenham Horseracing Festival in the spring and the Gloucestershire Cricket Festivals at Cheltenham and Gloucester. Gloucester Rugby Club play in the Guinness Premiership and European Competitions. Gloucester will be hosting games in the 2015 Rugby Union World Cup.

Visit the National Trust Properties Newark Park and Woodchester Park and other places of interest such as Westonbirt Arboretum. Or there is shopping at the newly designed Gloucester Quays development.

Leave the M5 at junction 12, then at roundabout take the 1st exit onto the B4008 signposted Gloucester, A38.
At Cross Keys Roundabout take the 3rd exit onto the A38 signposted Gloucester.
At Waterwells Roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A38 signposted M5 North, Gloucester.
At traffic signals turn right onto the A38 signposted Cheltenham A40, Cirencester A417.
At roundabout take the 4th exit onto the A4173 signposted Stroud.
Arrive at Brookthorpe - J'Vern is situated on the left hand side of the road, opposite Four Mile House.
