Bed and Breakfast Description

Selecting a suitable name for the guesthouse was one of the more interesting projects facing the previous owners, Pat and John, as they prepared to open the doors to residents for the first time.

Situated in the centre of Castle Donington on the edge of the Peak District and within easy reach from the motorway network, East Midlands Airport and main line rail stations, Castletown House offers something rather special in guesthouse accommodation.

The farmhouse building dates back to the 16th century and owners, Theo and Christie, have been painstaking in their efforts during its refurbishment to retain as many examples of the Elizabethan and Tudor architecture as possible while providing a four diamond facility with a personalised, family run atmosphere.

Accommodation comprises five individually designed rooms that are furnished to the highest standards to provide leisurely comfort for twin or family occupancy while secure car parking is at the doorstep.

There are only two no-go areas.....Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the house and pets are forbidden.

Although Castletown House is a Bed and Breakfast establishment, the area abounds in excellent restaurants and Theo and Christie are only too pleased to help guests select an evening meal that best suits their requirement.

The ten centrally heated rooms, all with high quality en-suite facilities, have been thoughtfully designed with comfort and spaciousness as the premium considerations.

This has been done without losing any of the historical charm of the surroundings and provides the perfect setting for relaxation with a touch of welcoming "Ye Olde" world charm.
