The Abbey is ideally located in a pleasant residential street which is part of the Central Cheltenham Conservation Area. It lies beside the pretty Sandford Park, and is just a brief stroll from the town's many shops, restaurants, theatres and bars. There are 13 comfortable bedrooms, and the hotel is run smoothly, in a friendly and welcoming manner by the staff and resident owners, Sophie and Greg.
Parking permits are available free of charge for on-street parking. There is a licensed honesty bar for use by guests only. The lounge and bar area is a pleasant place to sit, watch television, read the papers, have a drink or meet people.
Most rooms have en-suite facilities, but there are also 2 budget single rooms. Room facilities include direct-dial telephone, TV, tea and coffee making facilities. Hairdryers, iron and trouser press available on request. Wi-fi internet access is available free of charge throughout the establishment for those with their own laptops.
Breakfast is made from quality ingredients. A hearty cooked traditional English breakfast is offered (with vegetarian alternatives). Also available are cereals, freshly baked croissants and bread rolls, yoghurts, home-made fruit compote, fresh fruit and fruit juices. Breakfast is served with the pleasant view of the garden. You'll need to come in the springtime if you want to see blossom! |
