A warm welcome is guaranteed at The Old House, a family home set in a beautiful garden and located in the picturesque village of Scaldwell in the heart of the Northamptonshire countryside.

Enjoy relaxing surroundings and first class cooking prepared with organic seasonal fruit and vegetables from the garden.

The Old House is a home of great character which has been sensitively renovated. The Aga in the kitchen provides a warm focal point as do the inglenook fireplaces in the sitting and dining rooms. Great care has been taken to preserve the charm and character of this wonderful home and you are certain to enjoy your visit and return to The Old House time and again.

The double and twin bedrooms have private en-suite facilities and the single bedroom has sole use of adjoining bathroom. All rooms have colour TV and tea and coffee making facilities.

 

Northampton Attractions

 
During your stay why not enjoy some of the many places of interest in the surrounding area. Locally, Lamport Hall, Castle Ashby, Boughton House and Earl Spencer's Estate of Althorpe are all within 20 minutes of Scaldwell.

If fishing or sailing takes your fancy, Pitsford reservoir is just 10 minutes away or a little further afield is Rutland Water; Northampton is situated on the Grand Union Canal so a visit to Braunston Locks could provide the delightful afternoon you are looking for.

Just south of Northampton are the Silverstone Circuit and Towcester Races, or maybe you could visit Rockingham Castle or travel to the delightful towns of Stratford, Oundle and Stamford. Off course, you can always settle for the simply enjoyment of a beautiful garden, and, maybe, a glass or two of wine...
