Welcome to Beech House Guest Accommodation. We are situated just a 6-7 minute walk from the city on a residential tree lined street allowing you to return to a relaxed atmosphere. Beech House is able to offer many features of a larger hotel but with a personal touch. These include Wi-Fi access, chilled Champagne, hand made chocolate or flowers from Interflora.

Each of our rooms has been refurbished with new en-suite facilities, with either a shower and / or bath, which compliment the decoration. Each room has a colour television, free Wi-Fi, radio alarm clock and hairdryer. A hospitality tray with a selection of tea, coffee and hot chocolate is also provided as are luxury biscuits. All rooms are double-glazed and have central heating which is regulated by you by a thermostatic control to allow you to decide the warmth of the room. A laundry service is available to wash and dry clothing.

All our guest rooms are en-suites and have a shower, hand basin and toilet some rooms have a bath with shower over. The rooms all have instant and constant hot water. We provide quality shampoo, shower gel and hand lotion with shower caps and vanity sets. Christy towels are also provided during your stay.

The guest lounge is available during your stay to meet up with others or to stay in and watch television or just relax with a book and a drink. A range of local literature is available in the lounge to read. We are happy for you to spend as much time in here as you like. We have compiled a selection of places to eat for you to browse through which is in the lounge for all tastes and budgets. We are also happy to suggest places to eat out from a lunch time snack to that special celebration. Please be aware that some of York’s finer restaurants can be very busy and advise booking prior to arrival especially at weekends and during events to avoid disappointment

From the Train Station (also the coach drop off area):
Turn left out of the station and then left into Leeman Road, cross the road before the overhead bridge and walk down the alleyway next to the General Post Office. Turn left at the river and cross over the footbridge. Once over the footbridge walk underneath the bridge you have crossed. Immediately on your right you will come across some shallow steps that lead you to Longfield Terrace. Beech House is 40 metres on your left.

Follow the outer ring road (A1237, from any direction) until you reach the A19 roundabout (North West of York) to either Thirsk or York (this roundabout is North West of the City). Turn towards York, pass the ‘park & ride' on your right & carry on for approx 2 miles. Pass under a footbridge, then take the second turning on the right on to Bootham Terrace.
