Heworth Court was awarded 4 Stars by VisitBritain in the Category of "Guest Accommodation". In today's world of convenience food and huge impersonal hotel chains, it's refreshing to find a charming, independently run establishment, such as Heworth Court.
Many of Heworth Court's guests are regulars, returning time and again for the friendly personal service, and the choice of twenty eight well appointed bedrooms - some overlooking a delighful stone flagged courtyard, all with their own individual character. All of the en-suite bedrooms are non-smoking and contain tea and coffee making facilities, international direct dial telephone, modem link, voicemail, colour tv with 24hr news, hairdryer and clock radio alarm - the most luxurious of which being the beautifully appointed four posters, king size, Superkings, chandelier, and VIP rooms. A broadband Internet kiosk is available in the lobby.
The Lamplight Restaurant is personally run by experienced Head Chef, Garry Moss. Open five evenings a week (closed Sundays and Mondays), serving freshly prepared food. The "Minsterbells" Whisky Bar stocks a wide range of rare single Malts, from the smooth silky lightness of a Glenmorangie, to the pungeant grandeur of a Laphroig.
