Bed and Breakfast Description

 

We only take two guests at Bailey Motte Cottage so you have a complete floor of this charming 17th Century property for your private relaxation. Ideally situated in its own walled gardens but only a few minutes walk from the town centre and railway station.

Private lounge with TV, DVD player, CD and record player and a collection of games. Wood burning stove for those cosy off-season breaks. The lounge looks over the delightful, walled, cottage garden to the front and over the dry moat to Knaresborough Castle to the rear.

 

Knaresborough Attractions

 
Bailey Motte Cottage lies at the heart of the medieval market town of Knaresborough adjacent to the Norman castle and a few minutes walk from the market square and lovely riverside walks. Knaresborough has a range of pubs and restaurants to suit most tastes and there is a thriving Wednesday market.

The stylish Edwardian town of Harrogate is only ten minutes away by car, bus or train and York, Leeds, the Yorkshire Moors and Dales are within easy reach.
