Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Our large detached house, comfortably decorated and furnished and set in it's own grounds, is on the edge of the historic village of Tintagel, which is just a five minute walk away. In our main house we offer excellent value Bed and Breakfast in comfortable rooms and our stunning self catering annex provides you with everything you need for a very special vacation. The comfortable private guest lounge offers television, dvd and video.

The rooms available are a family room, a double room and a single room. All rooms are on the first floor and are regarded by previous guests as being very comfortable, many guests return on a regular basis. All rooms are equiped with H&C and a refreshment tray. The rooms have an adjoining bathroom and seperate toilet.

A full English breakfast, with various options, including vegetarian, is served in our delightful dining room overlooking the breathtaking fields and hills of North Cornwall.

 

Tintagel Attractions

 
Johilly is just a 5 minute walk from Tintagel village centre, which offers a good selection of shops, excellent restaurants, tea rooms and pubs. Also in the village is the National Trust property "The Old Post Office" dating from the 14th century.

Tintagel is renowned for it's famous castle ruins, the legendary home of Merlin the Magician and King Arthur himself, which attracts thousands of visitors from all over the globe each year. Tintagel makes a fantastic base to explore the many and varied daramtic sites of North Cornwall. The cliff walks are regarded by many as the most spectacular anywhere in Britain.

There are good surfing beaches at Bossiney cove, a comfortable walk from Johilly and at Trebarwith Strand, a short drive away. Less than a mile away from us is the mysterious and beautiful Rocky valley, home to the enigmatic carved labyrinths and the ruined Trewethett Mill.
