We are a small family-run B&B, sitting in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales just 2 miles from Leyburn market town. We have 2 en-suite bedrooms – 1 double and 1 flexible. Both rooms have tea/coffee making facilities and their own TV’s. You are also welcome to relax in the guest lounge in front of a winter roaring fire or enjoy the summer sunshine out in the garden.
Our ‘Elegance’ Room is styled in truely tranquil and relaxing decor, ensuring a memorable stay. It features a comfortable 4-poster double bed, en-suite shower room, flat screen colour TV, tea/coffee making facilities and window seat overlooking the garden. If you’re here for a super-relaxing stay you can always enjoy a homemade breakfast in bed!
Our ‘Country’ Room brings you into the countryside. It’s spring like feel and garden view will uplift and energise you, ready for a days walking or visiting attractions. It’s just as luxurious as the Elegance room with spacious en-suite bathroom, colour TV, tea/coffee making facilities, Yorkshire visitors guide and window seat overlooking the garden. Our ‘Country’ room can be made into a super king or flexible family room, we can cater for your needs.
Bellerby is a typical Yorkshire village with an open lovely green, friendly pub and waddling ducks on the beck that flows past the house.We are on the edge of the Dales ideal for strolling or a days walking. Close by are lots of interesting places to visit, a short drive will bring you to Richmond, Bolton Castle or Aysgarth Falls. Come back to tea and cakes in front of a log fire in the guest sitting room or take a walk up our fields behind the house where we have a wonderful view. You can sit on the bench with glass of wine or just enjoy the peace. |

Wensleydale and Swaledale are a hive of activity throughout the year; Middleham, just a stones throw away, opens its stable doors to the public each Good Friday, Leyburn hosts The Dales Festival of Food & Drink each May (always busy) and Swaledale hosts its own music and art festival to name a few events. A great day out for all ages is guaranteed in The Yorkshire Dales, whatever the weather!
Leyburn is the closest market town, only 2.5 miles away. You can stroll across the fields, enjoy a drink in one of its pubs, mooch around the shops and even watch chocolate being made at the Little Chocolate Shop! The Wensleydale Railway passes through Leyburn on its way to its termination at Redmire, just up the Dale a little way. The railway exists between Leeming Bar and Redmire and is part of a project to restore the rail links between North Yorkshire and Cumbria. The line will eventually be a 40 mile route between Northallerton and Garsdale, on the Settle-Carlise Railway. The trains are usually formed of heritage diesel railcars from the 1960s providing a steady meandering trip through Lower Wensleydale.
The home of Wallace & Gromit Wensleydale Cheese is a place not to be missed at the Wensleydale Creamery. Located in beautiful Upper Wensleydale, the visitor centre offers a museum, viewing gallery to watch the cheese making process, specialist cheese shop and licensed restaurant.
Swaledale and Wensleydale are home to numerous other attractions, such as Hardraw Force, Bolton Castle, Aysgarth Falls, the Buttertubs and the Forbidden Corner, which can be incorporated into a days walk. Whatever you do with your day you can be certain of a warm welcome back to Westfields Farm. |
