Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Owners Mat & Alex Cooper would like to welcome all past and future customers to The Wheatsheaf. The Wheatsheaf is steeped in history stretching as far back as the 17th Century. This Coaching Inn was extended in the 1800’s to include a Blacksmiths shop and stables, now being utilised as the dining room. One of the upstairs rooms was used as a court house to the Ewercross district. It is where the J.P’s met to renew the licenses for many of the Inn’s in the area.

The Wheatsheaf Inn & Hotel has nine en-suite bedrooms consisting of King Size doubles, Twins, a Family Room and a large room with a Four Poster bed. All rooms are equipped with the usual tea and coffee making facilities, TV, Hair Dryer and Wardrobes. Our rooms are named after parts of the famous waterfall trail.

The Wheatsheaf has a huge 80 cover restaurant which is split between the dining room and conservatory. The Dining room is spacious and comfortable and can cater for 45 people in one sitting. Just off from the dining room is access to the Conservatory where a further 35 diners can be seated. The conservatory is popular with group bookings as doors can be shut to make it a private dinning area for those special occasions or family reunions.
