It is the place where the date for Easter was agreed at the draw-droppng St Hilda's Abbey; there is Whitby Jet - still found on the shores around the town; it is world famous for Bram Stoker's Dracula; from Whitby, Captain Cook began his travels around the world, and on top of all that, Whitby has probably the best fish and chips in the world!
