Rowan Barn has been lovingly restored by its present owners, Huw and Sally Jones. They have painstakingly transformed the barn over a 2 year period, ensuring the original features are maintained.
One of the barns main features are the Breton style of bricks over the windows and the use of granite quoins around the doors and windows, all in place due to the Godolphin Estate having owned a granite quarry in Constantine, Falmouth. Rowan Barn has also been awarded 4 Stars and a Silver Award.
We have 3 beautifully furnished en-suite rooms, all with luxurious bedding and towels adding to that homely feeling. All our rooms are situated on the ground floor of the barn having views out onto the surrounding grounds.
The Willow Our master room, a lovely large room, with super kingsize bed, en-suite bathroom with shower over and a beautiful chaise lounge to recline back in. This room can also be available on a twin basis.
The Hazel A beautifully decorated room with kingsize bed and spacious en-suite bathroom with shower over.
The Beech A homely double room with en-suite shower room. We can offer single occupancy in this room.
All rooms include tea and coffee making facilities, colour television, wireless broadband, hair dryer, shaver point, heated towel rail and toiletries.
On moving to Cornwall Huw and Sally owned and ran the Trengilly Wartha Inn, which is where Huw’s passion for keeping pigs and producing top quality sausages began and the famous “Trengilly sausage” was created.
In 1991, Huw’s garlic and herb sausage won the Guardian Newspapers’s first ‘Sausage Quest’ competition and their range of products also earned a coveted entry in Henrietta Green’s ‘Food Lovers Guide to Britain’ as the ‘Best Sausages’.
Now at Rowan Barn Butchery, Huw produces sausages, bacon, hams and salamis all on site. These products can all be sampled, along with Rowan Barns own free range eggs, in the wonderful breakfasts Sally provides each morning. |
