Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Albion House, owned by two friendly writers and their two cheerful cocker spaniels, has a lovely garden that overlooks open fields and farm land and is wonderfully located for exploring the Suffolk Heritage Coastline.

All the rooms are light and spacious and furnished to a high standard and all have colour TV and tea and coffee-making facilities. There is a wide choice of DVDs and videos available. The B&B accommodation provided throughout all the seasons is inclusive of breakfast.

 

Saxmundham Attractions

 
Albion House, which was originally two cottages built in 1890, is situated next door to the Old Mill where Benjamin Britten wrote Peter Grimes and many other works. The house, which is opposite the Village Hall, is a short stroll from Snape Maltings concert hall, home of the Aldeburgh Festival, Snape Proms and the Britten Festival. Opera, jazz, literary and poetry festivals are presented in and around Snape and Aldeburgh throughout all the seasons.

Our part of Suffolk is set within an area of outstanding natural beauty that offers a variety of pursuits for visitors. There is bird-watching, sailing, golf, cycling, angling and glorious river and estuary walks - or you can simply relax on the beach at Aldeburgh, which is a ten-minute drive from Snape. A picturesque seaside town, Aldeburgh has an award-wining fish-and-chip shop, excellent restaurants, antique and craft shops, art galleries, supermarket and two delicatessens and its own cinema. There is also a golf club and yachting club close to the town centre.
