Whitby Attractions

The Ashford Guest House is ideally situated for coastal and country walks, and makes an excellent base for exploring the North York Moors. Take a short drive inland and visit 'Heartbeat Country', the North York Moors Railway, Rievaulx Abbey, Pickering and a myriad of pretty moorland villages ... or take the coast road to discover the attractions of Scarborough, Bridlington & Filey and the charms of the smaller coastal resorts of Sandsend, Runswick Bay, Staithes and Robin Hood's Bay. A little further afield you will find the historic city of York, the Spa town of Harrogate and a wealth of country houses and gardens, abbeys and castles.
