Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Pengarth cottage overlooks a small green with its ancient cross and church opposite. Upon arrival, you will be provided with refreshments, either in the front of the fire in the wood panelled sitting room or, weather permitting, outside in the garden.

Pengarth has one large en-suite guest bedroom, which can be used as a double, twin or family room. The en-suite facility offers a choice of either bath or shower with toiletries. The room is equipped with a colour television, video, clock radio, hairdryer and hospitality tray.

A hearty breakfast will be served at your convenience with homemade bread or a healthier option of fruit, yoghurts or cereals.

 

Austwick Attractions

 
There are a multitude of attractions literally on your doorstep: - Yorkshire Dales National Park; The Forest of Bowland – an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty; Ingleborough and White Scar Caves; The Three Peaks; Ingleborough, Pen-y-Ghent and Whernside; The Settle and Carlisle railway; The Falconry centre; The market town of Settle; Skipton Castle; Limestone Pavements. Other attractions further afield include York, Yorkshire Moors National Park and the Lake District National Park.

Austwick is located just over 4 miles from the market town of Settle, a short distance off the A65.

The M6 motorway is approximately 20 miles away from either Lancaster (J34) or Kendal (J36) Junctions. Leeds and Bradford (M1 Motorway) are approximately 40 miles away.

The nearest railway stations are at Settle and Giggleswick, with direct services to Leeds, Carlisle or Lancaster.
