Bed and Breakfast Description

Yellingham Farm offers Bed and Breakfast in one of the most rural parts of Devon. The farmhouse is Grade II listed and dates back to the 16th century and provides excellent spacious bed and breakfast accommodation.

Yellingham farm is a working farm bordered by the river Tale which captures the magic of the countryside – sheep cows and calves, free range chickens and working sheep dogs – an ideal holiday location in the heart of Devon. The farm is set in some 45 acres of rolling Devon countryside and is primarily grassland complete with old and traditional farm buildings.

Our Bed and Breakfast accommodation is situated in the old Devon cow shippon which has been tastefully renovated and decorated to provide two double rooms and a twin room. All of our rooms are non-smoking.

Special features include exposed beams in all rooms; each room has been individually furnished using a combination of traditional and antique furniture and fittings; hospitality tray to include a range of local westcountry teas and coffees, Devon bottled water, homemade biscuits and fresh (real !) milk and fresh flowers daily! All rooms are ensuite and finished to a very high standard including power showers in all three rooms and a bath in the farmhouse double room and the twin room with a selection of toiletries.

The dining room hosts a large farmhouse table where breakfast is served amidst a table laid daily with fresh flowers, linen napkins and a fresh fruit bowl. Breakfast is a real experience and our menu changes with the seasons – a sample menu is included under our award winning food experience section. The lounge is adjacent to the dining room and is traditionally designed and furnished to include a lovely wood burning fire, which is lit every day in the winter. The lounge has a wide selection of reading material and traditional wooden games.

Honiton Attractions

We have a great range of pubs and restaurants in our part of Devon to compliment your holiday at Yellingham Farm. Exeter has some fabulous restaurants, there are too many to name but for that extra special evening we can recommend Michael Caines restaurant at the Royal Clarence Hotel – excellent value for lunch – easy to get to by car and train.
