Bed and Breakfast Description |
| |
|
Ann & Tony Richardson warmly welcome you to their Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast lying close to a river and within walking distance of the North Yorkshire Moors.
The bedrooms look out across two small valleys, "Scott Hill" and "Church Dale", sheep graze the pastures and wooded hillsides that stretch out to the horizon. No other buildings can be seen from the windows, something rare in this day and age.
Enjoy breakfast in beautiful surrounds and listen to soft music. See the lovely collection of Tea Pots, China, and musical instruments. Look out on to flowers and shrubs in an old World garden. We also provide packed lunches for those who like to walk the hills and moors of this wonderful part of the National Park. There is also a reading room for our guests with a wide selection of Books. |

Whitby Attractions |

A twenty minute walk takes you to the village of Glaisdale, with Butchers shop, General Store Post Office, Garage and a Railway Station on the Middlesbrough - Whitby Line. The Farm is about a mile from the A171 and 8 miles from Whitby with it's Fishing Port, beautful Abbey, Swing Bridge, Cobbled Streets, Park, Museum and a History that dates back to the Whaling Industry, before that to our famous Yorkshire son Captain Cook.
Glaisdale village offers, Shop, Butchers, Post Office, and three Public Houses which all serve meals. The village is next to a river, which can be fished, there are also many public footpaths and Glaisdale is on the Coast-to-Coast walk. Other villages in the area, which are all within a 10/15 minute drive from Glaisdale, include Grosmont, which is home to the North Yorkshire Steam Railway, which runs from Grosmont to Pickering. Goathland better known as Aidensfield, from the popular TV programme Heartbeat, is a 15 min drive away. York, Scarborough and Middlesbrough are all within an Hour's drive. |
