This attractive Victorian Guest House is an ideal base for exploring the area of South Devon known as The South Hams which is a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Comfortable, friendly Bed and Breakfast accommodation is provided along with delicious freshly cooked Breakfasts served in the spacious dining room.
Ashleigh House is run in a relaxed informal way by Sue and Richard Agar, guests have their own room and front door key allowing them to come and go as they please, kindly note Ashleigh House is strictly non-smoking.
Ashleigh House has some off-street parking, however when this is full there is ample free parking on the roads to the front and side of the house. Facilities include a large breakfast room which overlooks the mature gardens and the entrance conservatory area provides informal seating for guests to relax.
There are 8 comfortable guest bedrooms, all have ensuite facilities with walk-in showers. All of the guest rooms have televisions, beverage trays, soap and shampoo/shower gel, there is use of an iron, ironing board and hair-dryer.
The rooms comprise of 5 double bedrooms, 1 twin with 2 single beds, 1 triple bedroom with a double and a single bed and 1 large family room which has a double, single and full sized bunk-beds and can sleep a family of 5. |

There is a lot to see and do in the area apart from visiting the many gorgeous beaches nearby:
The stunning South West coast path is easily accessible from Kingsbridge, with beautiful scenery, wildlife and walks for all abilities. Dartmoor National Park is nearby, covering 368 square miles it is an exceptionally beautiful place to visit throughout the year.
The region is popular for an extensive range of outdoor pursuits, walking, cycling, sailing, kaying, surfing, horse-riding, golf etc etc. It also has many attractions to visit such as beautiful gardens, grand houses including many National Trust properties. There are family friendly theme parks, open farms, steam trains, boat trips, rock pools, sandy beaches, pebbly beaches.
The South Hams has numerous pretty villages and traditional pubs serving real ales and tasty locally sourced produce, the seafood is excellent. |
