A friendly, family run Bed and Breakfast for over twenty years, we cater for all in a peaceful, tranquil setting (a good mile away from the railway line!) within walking distance of a beach to rival Bamburgh (15 mins walk, 2 mins in car). We are Centrally Located, close to miles of sandy beaches, castles, historical and religious monuments, border towns and villages.
We have 5 beautifully decorated, comfortable bedrooms: a Double room and a Twin room, both with wash basins, sharing a bathroom which has a huge free-standing bath and an extra large shower; a Double room with en-suite shower room; a Large Family room with en-suite shower room and a Large Triple/Family room with private shower room (The en-suite and private shower rooms have a shower, wash basin and toilet). The house is fully Centrally Heated and we have a NO-SMOKING policy throughout.
Ladythorne has three guest sitting rooms all with colour televisions (two with freeview sets). We do not have television sets in the bedrooms but all are welcome to watch any programme in either of our sitting rooms downstairs. Tea, Coffee, Hot Chocolate and soft drinks are served in the guest sitting rooms at all times. (Please note that our excellent water comes from a natural spring and serves every tap in the house!)
Please ask about decaffeinated tea and coffee also herb and fruit infusions. As we do not have hot drink facilities in the bedrooms we put the kettle on any time. We also offer a tray to take to your bedroom if required. If you would like early morning tea or coffee please let us know the night before.
The dining room is decorated in a Georgian style, with brick lined inglenook fireplace. Our large mature, garden is perfect for strolling around and viewing the scenery or taking a seat and enjoying some light refreshment. The off-the-road car park can hold up to 8 cars. |
