Bed and Breakfast Description

 

This 17th century, south facing farmhouse was built over three hundred years ago to supply food to nearby Hexham Abbey. Our farmhouse bed and breakfast is friendly, spacious and comfortable. It offers en-suite, non smoking accommodation. All rooms have central heating, TV and hospitality trays. Breakfast is cooked on the AGA using local produce and home made preserves.

The house has 3 bedrooms available: 1 Double en-suite, 1 Twin en-suite and 1 Twin with private facilities for your use only. The guest lounge is spacious with open views of the garden and the Tyne valley. Guests have a choice of traditional farmhouse, Aga cooked breakfast, or a lighter, continental style breakfast. Local produce is used wherever possible.

 

Hexham Attractions

 
Anick Grange is situated in the heart of Hadrians Wall country and is an ideal base from which to explore the wall itself. There are many other Roman sites; Vindolanda, Housesteads, Chesters, Corstopitum etc.

We are only 1 mile from Hexham and 2 miles from Corbridge, where you will find plenty of restaurants and inns for good food. Meals are also available at the award winning local pub, a 10 minute walk from the farm.

Hexham is the main market town for the district, with attractions including the 7th century Abbey, 2 medieval towers (the old gaol and Moot hall), excellent parks and gardens and Hexham Racecourse.

Follow A69 to Hexham roundabout, taking Hexham exit, then 2nd left just before the River Tyne Bridge signposted Anick/Beaufront . Anick Grange is one mile along this road; look for a large white gate at the entrance to the Farmhouse.
