Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Dave and Jackie Armstrong extend a warm welcome to all guests. Our barn conversion offers holiday accommodation to an excellent standard. All 3 bedrooms offer en-suite facilities. The property offers Level 2 mobility accommodation.

 

Hexham Attractions

 
Grindon Cartshed sits within 600 acres of farmland and we have a small flock of coloured Ryeland sheep. Red squirrels inhabit our wood. We are 4 miles from our local village of Haydon Bridge and its shops and inns and 11 miles away from the beautiful historic market town of Hexham. The area is a walkers and cyclists paradise yet within an hour of the vibrant city of Newcastle upon Tyne and the renowned Metro Centre.
 

B&B Location
 
By road:
From Newcastle - travel west along B6318 ( Military Road ) from Newcastle to Carlise. Turn South along road signed Haydon Bridge 4 miles. We are 1/2 mile down this road on the left. Alternatively travel west along A69 from Newcastle to Carlise. Turn North at Haydon Bridge. Travel 4 miles North. We are the farm on the right.

By rail:
Northern Rail to Haydon Bridge from Carlisle to the West or from Newcastle to the east.
From Haydon Bridge station travel north 4 miles we are the farm on the right.

Public Transport
There is an excellent tourist bus service in high season within half a mile of the farm. This travels along the Military Road allowing you to explore the area whilst leaving your car at the farm.
