Brandy Bank Bed & Breakfast – formerly an old Staging Inn built in 1726 is now a four star, family-run home from home Bed & Breakfast with Tea Room. At Brandy Bank all our bedrooms are en-suite with modern efficient showers and are tastefully decorated to ensure customer comfort, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryers, colour TV's with Freeview and FREE wifi connection are available.

We pride ourselves on our home cooked food. Both being self confessed “Foodies” we grow our own fruit and vegetables, bake our own bread, cakes and pastries and cook all meals from scratch using the best local ingredients. Our free-range, organic meat is bought direct from local farmers. Flour, Cheese and Cream comes from local mills and dairies, fresh fish and sea foods from the coast.

Whether it’s a summertime luncheon of finest buffalo mozzarella salad made with ripe juicy tomatoes and fresh basil grown in our own greenhouse finished with a dressing of extra virgin olive oil and herb vinegar or a hearty winter casserole of organic beef steak with lardons of smokey bacon slowly simmered in red wine and herbs to give the meat an irresistible tenderness and perhaps you have a sweet tooth and enjoy homemade desserts such as baked lemon tart with crème fraiche ice-cream or gooey chocolate puddings served with jersey cream and fresh raspberries, we are sure our cooking will not disappoint.

Brandy Bank is situated in the tranquil village of West Woodburn in the Rede valley. The views from here are breathtaking with mile after mile of unspoilt countryside. There are many beautiful and historical places to visit just a short drive away; we have linked to a few sites which may give an indication of the places you could visit during your stay with us.

The unspoilt county of Northumberland is home to the historical sites of Hadrian’s Wall, Alnwick Castle with its award winning gardens and many beautiful coastal castles such as Bamburgh. Known as the cradle of Christianity Northumberland also has many Abbeys and Monasteries none less famous than Lindisfarne Priory, one of the holiest Anglo-Saxon sites in England.

For those loving the great outdoors Kielder Water and Forest Park is a breathtaking area of natural beauty while the Farne Islands boasts wildlife and bird colonies, the like of which are seldom matched.

If you fancy a day in the city then Edinburgh Scotland’s capital is less than 2 hours away whilst within one hour you could visit Newcastle upon Tyne or the quaint market towns of Corbridge and Hexham.
