Bed and Breakfast Description

Spring Lodge is an elegant Edwardian townhouse dating from 1905 offering comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation in central Harrogate. Our guest house is in a quiet cul-de-sac very close to Harrogate Conference Centre and a few minutes walk from the centre of Harrogate, Yorkshire's famous spa town.

We pride ourselves on offering a warm friendly and relaxed bed and breakfast service to our guests, who often comment how quiet it is here-there is no traffic noise, yet we are so close to town and are ideally situated for both the business visitor attending a conference, and the tourist visitor wishing to explore the delights of Harrogate and the glorious countryside of the Yorkshire Dales.

We now offer free wireless internet access.

Spring Lodge has five rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors. All rooms are comfortable and individually decorated in a contemporary style. We have a selection of rooms to suit guests' requirements:-

Two double rooms with full ensuite bathrooms (one of which has a full sized bath)

One twin room with full ensuite bathroom

One double room with ensuite shower and shared WC along the landing

One standard single room with washbasin and shared bathroom along the landing.

Children are welcome - we can provide a put-u-up bed, cot and highchair

All the rooms are equipped with TV, radio alarm clock, hairdryer, toiletries, bottled water and a well stocked hospitality tray including the famous Taylor's of Harrogate teas and delicious Grandma Wild's biscuits.

Our kitchen is right next to the dining room so your breakfast is served within seconds of leaving the pan- freshly cooked and piping hot!

Begin with a choice of fresh fruit, yoghurts, porridge, cereal and juice followed by a full English breakfast of sausage, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes and eggs as you like them, or our vegetarian option of mushrooms, tomatoes, eggs, hash browns and baked beans.

Harrogate Attractions

Harrogate is an elegant, renowned spa town, with beautiful architecture dating mainly from the Victorian and Edwardian era.

It is also the home of Harrogate International Centre, which hosts many conferences and exhibitions throughout the year.

The town is a fascinating blend of old and new. It has historical buildings such as the Turkish Baths and the Royal Hall-both have been recently restored to their original splendour-and excellent restaurants, bars, cafes and shops- both traditional and contemporary- to suit all tastes.

All this is surrounded by the Stray- a large expanse of green space set aside in centuries past for ‘recreation' for the people of Harrogate and their visitors, and protected in law to this day from being built on.

Harrogate is also a great base for a holiday. Within half an hours drive are the beautiful Yorkshire Dales for walking and spectacular scenery; the mediaeval walled city of York for sightseeing, including the National Railway Museum and Yorvik Viking Centre; and the vibrant city of Leeds for shopping (Harvey Nichols!) and the Royal Armouries.

Even closer to home are the market towns of Ripon, one of Britain's oldest cities, with its beautiful cathedral and racecourse; and Knaresborough with spectacular views over the river Nidd and England's ‘oldest tourist attraction' Mother Shipton's Cave and Petrifying Well.
