Established by the Bawn brothers over 20 years ago, this family run hotel has been modernised to a high standard. Well appointed en-suite rooms and our new lodge bar allow us to offer you an enjoyable and memorable experience. Bawn Lodge offers high speed wireless internet access in the lodge bar, reception area, breakfast room and in all bedrooms.


Chester Attractions

Chester city is almost 2000 years old and has a fascinating history. During your stay you may like to visit some of the many historical attractions.

The City Walls - Chester city walls are the most complete in Britain, offering a fascinating 3 kilometre circular walk around Chester - the best way to see its attractions.

The Rows - The unique world famous Rows are two-tier medieval street galleries with superb shops of international renown.

Roman Amphitheatre - The largest Roman amphitheatre in Britain was used for entertainment and military training by the 20th Legion based at the fortress of Deva. The amphitheatre is accessible from the town centre and completely free

The Eastgate Clock - The most photographed time-piece in the world after Big Ben.

Grosvenor Museum - This is arguably the best way to see the story of Chester. You will learn about the Roman fortress of Deva, its people, army and buildings, and how the City developed in to the Chester of today. Stroll through a Roman graveyard with its tombstones of the Twentieth Legion's soldiers and families.

Chester Cathedral - One of the most popular places to visit, the Cathedral attracts over one million visitors each year. All who visit will be encouraged to share in the rich beauty of the most complete medieval monastic complex still standing in the UK today. Entry is free although donations are invited.
