Bed and Breakfast Description

 

The Alvanley Arms Inn has an atmosphere that is quite unique. The theme throughout is related to Shire Horses. Rosettes, pictures, photographs, harness & horseshoes adorn the walls identifying the Inn with the adjacent Cotebrook Shire Horse Centre also owned by the King family.

The oak beamed bar offers a wide range of hand pulled cask ales, a large selection of wines & malt whiskies along with a welcoming log fire. Choose from a selection of traditional country food and contemporary fine dining as well as an imaginative Specials Board, which changes daily. Our menu changes every few weeks to reflect seasonal availability.

We have seven individually designed guest bedrooms with wonderful views of the Cheshire countryside. Each room has a character and charm of its own retaining the original beams. Fine fabrics and prints adorn the tastefully furnished rooms. They all have an en-suite bath or shower, colour television, tea and coffee making facilities and a hairdryer. Residents of the Alvanley Arms benefit from free entry to Cotebrook Shire Horse Centre which is also owned by us and is immediately adjacent. After a full English breakfast, if time permits, Alistair and Janet are always pleased to personally show residents their Shire Horses.

The Alvanley Arms Inn is set amidst the beautiful Cheshire countryside with scenic views and walks to enjoy. Visitors to Cheshire many tourist attractions such as Oulton Park, Blakemere Craft Centre, Chester or Tatton Park will find the Alvanley Arms a convenient base from which to explore the surrounding areas.

Take the 1st right to stay on A54/Newton Bank

At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto A54/Oakmere Rd
