Bed and Breakfast Description |
| |
|
We have just completed a very sympathetic and careful conversion of our 300 year old family farmhouse to provide three spacious, warm en-suite guest bedrooms, with all modern comforts, for you to enjoy. Each room has an individual personality and lovely views across the local Cheshire Countryside to Pickmere and Budworth Mere. We have plenty of free, safe parking available in the farmyard for vehicles.
We pride ourselves on being able to offer you a very wholesome, tasty and locally sourced/organic breakfast, which we are sure you will enjoy, served in the breakfast room.
As a family, we the Williamsons have farmed at Hield House Farm for four generations. Today I run the B&B, whilst John, Robert and my husband Andrew farm over 300 acres, milking some 160 cows organically. We have a friendly farm dog, Milly, 2 horses, Alice & Archie and 2 friendly young children!!
We are just in the process of installing robots to milk the cows, it's all very exciting, but proving rather tiring because someone needs to be in the shed 24hours a day at the moment. Hopefully with a little more time the girls will take to the robots and make all our lives easier. Bring your wellies and I'm sure you can go and have a look at them in action!! |

Northwich Attractions |
| |
Whether your visit is for pleasure or business we are perfectly located, close enough to town or city, yet far enough away, offering peace and convenience.
Our local village – Great Budworth... Just a short walk across the fields is the picturesque village of Great Budworth . With its narrow high street, parish Church & George and Dragon pub (where you can get a tasty meal!!) at the centre and its many black and white timbered buildings it really epitomises the quintessential English village.
Knutsford & Northwich...The market towns of Knutsford (5miles) & Northwich (3miles) are the closest towns to the farm. Northwich grew up as a salt mining centre & today Knutsford offers a wide array of boutique shopping, coffee shops & restaurants.
Arley Hall...Arley Hall, which has been the setting for a number of television dramas and has renowned gardens, is only 1 mile away and its neighbouring family friendly Stockley Working Farm where the kids can let off steam.
Local Farmhouse Ice cream...Whilst staying at Hield House Farm you must try Great Budworth Farm Ice cream, visit Tatton Park and take a stroll along some of the numerous local footpaths, or around Marbury Park or Pickmere Lake. |
