Our establishment is fitted with central heating throughout. All or some rooms have ensuite facilities. Garden and/or patio area for guests Hairdryers are available in rooms or on request. We're sorry, we do not accept pets. There are scenic walks in the surrounding area.
All rooms have a shaving socket. Smoking is not permitted in the establishment. All rooms have tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms have TV.

Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Welcome to Briar Cottage, where you may be assured of a warm welcome, with tastefully decorated rooms and comfortable beds with pure cotton linen bedding.

There are two double rooms and one single room, all with en-suite facilities. One of the double rooms is on the ground floor, and is suitable for someone with limited mobility who is able to walk a few paces and up one or two steps.

A generous English or Continental breakfast is served and, with a little notice, most special diets can be catered for.

After a day out, return to Briar Cottage and relax in the garden or visit one of the several Public Houses. “ The Bhurtpore”, which is five minutes walk away, is an award winning real ale pub. It is renown throughout Cheshire and is highly recommended.

 

Nantwich Attractions

 
The village of Aston is conveniently situated for many beautiful walks along footpaths and canal towpaths. The cheshire cycling route passes the front of Briar Cottage and continues through the village.

Within a couple of miles is the historic town of Nantwich, with its timber framed buildings and one of the finest medieval churches in Britain.

Chester is a walled city and contains many Black and White half-timbered buildings. The galleried streets, known as the rows, evoke medieval times. The Cathedral lies within the city walls and is open to visitors throughout the year.

Delamere forest is a remnant of the vast royal hunting preserve of the Earls of Chester. The visitor centre has various displays telling the history of the forest and there are many waymarked walks through the woodland.

Beeston Castle, situated on top of an isolated red sandstone outcrop, provides outstanding views across the Cheshire plains to the Mersey, Wales and the Pennines in Derbyshire.

The village of Aston is located just off the A530, approximately half way between Nantwich and Whitchurch. It is approximately 20 minutes from Junction 16 on the M6

At the Wrenbury crossroads on the road A530, follow the “Pottery” sign and turn into Sheppenhall Lane. Briar Cottage is about 100 Metres on the left.

Nearest Railway Station: Wrenbury  (1.5  Miles)
