Bed and Breakfast Description

 

Roger and Helen Fisher offer you a warm welcome to Rosanne Bed and Breakfast. With off-road parking you are able to leave your car and leisurely stroll down to the town and visit any of the restaurants and public houses. We are open all year and Holly, our Golden Retriever welcomes children and well behaved dogs.

Our Guest Lounge is ideal if you wish to sit, relax and read, or watch TV,Video or DVD. There is a choice of breakfasts including the traditional English Breakfast using the very best local produce and served in our Dining Room with panoramic views of the valley. We also cater for vegetarians.

The bedrooms at Rosanne have all been tastefully refurbished. The double and family bedrooms all have en-suites with tea/coffee making facilities, TV, radio and hairdriers. We also have two single bedrooms, one with en-suite and one with separate bathroom exclusive to this room. All rooms are equipped with mains fire/smoke alarms.

 

Kingsbridge Attractions

 
‘Rosanne’ Bed and Breakfast is situated within the beautiful market town of Kingsbridge at the head of the Salcombe Estuary. Our Bed and Breakfast is ideally situated for both the exceptional surrounding countryside – an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty' and the some of the cleanest Beaches along the South Coast.

The famous Sailing town of Salcombe is just over 6 miles from Kingsbridge and Dartmouth a town at the mouth of the Dart Valley is 13 miles away. Steeped in history and character, Dartmouth offers a wide range of attractions for visitors from Castles to Galleries.

If the beach is more your ideal place to be then look no further than this area. There is a mixture of Sand and Shingle beaches providing facilities for a range of needs. Bantham is only 5 miles from Kingsbridge and renowned for some of the best surfing along the South Coast, there is also an area of the beach, which allows dogs all year round (controlled). Bigbury on Sea is 8 miles away and commands superb views over to Burgh Island, this Beach was awarded the Blue Flag Award in 2005 along with Blackpool Sands (12 ½ miles away).

For the more energetic visitor the area contains some wonderful footpaths – most notably the South West Coastal Path which is Britain’s longest National trail stretching for over 600 miles.

Directions from Totnes:

From Totnes take the A381 towards Kingsbridge (at Sorley Green Crossroads, turn left signposted; Kingsbridge Light Vehicles Only) continue on this route until Stentiford Hill. Rosanne can be found on the left hand side of the road just after the turning for Manor Park Road.

Directions from Kingsbridge Town Centre:

From Kingsbridge Town Centre (Fore Street) take the main road heading north in the Loddiswell direction (past the Police station which is situated on the right hand side). At the T-junction on the bend carry straight on - rising over the crest of the hill, Rosanne can be found on the right hand side.
